Expected Standards of Behaviour
Program and Client Participation
Cultivating Community reserves the right to ask any program or project participant or client to leave our program and/or premises with immediate effect to protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our team and other participants.
No perceived or actual abuse related to gender, religion, race or any other form of aggressive verbal, physical or written behaviour will be tolerated.
During your participation, you must:
- Attend as many hours as reasonably necessary to achieve meaningful skills and progress.
- Perform tasks with the degree of competence and efficiency appropriate to your training.
- Comply with all lawful directions given by Cultivating Community or any authorised representative.
- Follow all Cultivating Community policies and procedures, with specific attention to our zero-tolerance approach to racism, sexism, aggressive or bullying behaviour in any form (verbal, sign, written or physical).
- Comply with all organisational health and safety requirements.
At no time should you:
- Act, or be seen to be acting, in conflict with Cultivating Community’s best interests.
- Use internet, email or voicemail in Cultivating Community workplaces for excessive personal use or to view or distribute offensive or illegal material.
- Unlawfully discriminate against, sexually harass, bully or engage in any inappropriate behaviour toward another person.
- Use Cultivating Community equipment, resources, or take produce, seeds or seedlings without permission from your supervisor.

Definitions of unacceptable behaviour are based on Fair Work recommendations, National Employment Standards and Cultivating Community policies and procedures as outlined in organisational documentation.
