Culinary & Horticulture Pathways

Our employment pathways program provides real, paid work experience in a supportive and inclusive environment. Through hands-on learning at Burwood Brickworks Rooftop Farm, participants build practical skills, confidence and the experience needed to move into meaningful employment.

Earn and learn

Our Culinary and Horticultural Pathways are built on an immersive, hands-on approach where participants gain real experience through meaningful work.

01

The Program

A supported pathway to work

Delivered at Burwood Brickworks Rooftop Farm, this 12-week paid program provides participants with a foundational understanding of working in a safe, inclusive and supportive environment, with a focus on real-world experience and skill development.

02

Who it supports

Inclusive by design

The program is designed to support people who may face barriers to employment, including Deaf and hard of hearing individuals, and young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds. We create environments where everyone feels supported to learn, contribute and grow.

03

Outcomes

Pathways forward

Participants leave the program with more than just experience. They gain confidence, practical skills and a clearer pathway into employment, supported by real-world learning in an inclusive and supportive environment.
